Artist Statement
"Craig van den Bosch is a multidisciplinary artist working across ceramics, photography, and installation. His practice examines systems of industry, commodification, and landscape, often translating data, infrastructure, and environmental impact into restrained visual languages. Through serial forms, repeated motifs, and subtle material shifts, van den Bosch creates work that oscillates between beauty and critique. Influenced by the Pacific Northwest’s industrial and natural intersections, his projects invite close looking—revealing layered narratives beneath minimalist surfaces. Whether through slip-cast vessels, salon-style image grids, or sculptural interventions, his work asks how contemporary production shapes perception, value, and responsibility."

Edmonds Connection
Though based in Lynnwood, Craig van den Bosch maintains a meaningful connection to Edmonds, Washington. The city’s waterfront, arts culture, and civic engagement have provided both inspiration and community throughout his career. Edmonds’ blend of maritime industry, public space, and natural beauty closely parallels themes within his work—particularly the tension between commerce, landscape, and identity. Through exhibitions, professional relationships, and ongoing dialogue with the local arts community, Edmonds remains an important cultural touchstone in his practice, grounding his broader investigations in a distinctly regional context.
