Artist Statement
"I'm an Edmonds based artist and have been on the tour for about 18 years. I work primarily in oil on canvas and like to work large scale. My subject matter is landscape with a particular interest in atmosphere and light. Working large enables me to better place the viewer in the scene and allow them to "feel" the painting. I work mainly in the studio using plein air sketches, my own photo reference and imagination to create scenes which attempt to capture the mood of a place, time of day or weather event. I've been a professional artist for over 40 years and I'm represented by galleries in the Pacific Northwest and on the east coast."
